Visitation to some clients in Heidelberg

Today we visited some new clients in Heidelberg to assist in securing their elderly parents home after a series of Break-Ins in the area.

These customers were concerned that their parents Heidelberg home had old locks and was not safe enough to help prevent a break in.

Having serviced Heidelberg residents for the past 17 years, The Lock Guy Local Locksmiths were happy to assist.

Due to the age of the home and that the house keys had not had a change in combination since they moved in we first rekeyed all existing locks to external doors which completely updated their current set of keys.

Our choice of locks?

These clients needed new security added to outside doors – our lock of choice was the Lockwood 005 deadbolt as seen in the image below.

This type of Lockwood Deadbolt offers high strength and security. As discussed with our clients adult children this deadbolt is ideal for our elderly clients especially those with arthritis due to their ease of application and safety release function to prevent being locked in.

When fitting new locks our serviceman will always check the strike alignment of the lock and the locking action is working as it should be.

The front security door handle was also broken on inspection, so this was replaced with a new handle being the Tasman MK2 as seen in the Image below.

The windows were already secured wi a lockable multi bolt – two of which needed just a small adjustment and service.

Our elderly clients and their adult children were happy to receive only one key that works all Locks on colored keytags.
